Act Now... Play Forever!
PLAYGROUND BUILT
After three years and countless hours of hardwork, we are pleased to announce that the ACT Playground in Wisconsin
Rapids has been built! This is a very exciting time and we hope that the playground will bring joy to all the members of our community for years to come.
On August 6th, 2011 we had over 150 volunteers lend a hand to build the playground. We are very grateful and appreciate all of the hard work. We would like
to say a special thanks to ODC, Equitable Reserve Association, and Christian Life Fellowship for providing lunches during the event and to Schwan's and Pepsi
for their donations of ice cream and beverages.
The final stages of the project come August 19th and 20th when the playground will be landscaped. The landscaping will be done by
members of the Lincoln High School SkillsUSA chapter and a local boy scout troop. Phil Bickelhaupt, adivsor for the SkillsUSA chapter at Lincoln
High School, received a $10,000 community service grant from Lowe's to fund the landscaping efforts.
The dedication of the playground will be held on September 18th, 2011 at 4:00 PM.
We will also be at the Labor Day Celebration at Robinson Park put on by the Central Labor Council. At the celebration we will be selling
popcorn, t-shirts, and cookbooks.
